Red wine in a jelly jar and a big awful mess.....

Supervision is always needed...Stitch by any other name is still Stitch.

This is the UFO....found buried at the bottom of the basket with Stitch.

It certainly takes a bit of vino tinto to be real about the help I need!!!

I really really really love Stephanie...but...
It is only when I have a weekend to myself that I can roll around
with no guilt in my mess....Well....maybe a little guilt.
She is absolutely dying to bring the garbage bags in here.
She practically stomped out the door when she saw that the 7 and 8 year old
were starting stashes too..
If you are totally loyal...in a few years I will show you the clean- up..
Oh....I am not being truthful...there will be no clean- up..
Why ruin my good fabric life....
ha ha ha ha.
So much fun.
See how happy my fabrics make me.
Soooo happy!!

LOL. Its colourful creative mess. I know because mine is the same. I love that the 7&8 year olds are starting stashes too.

I'm usually bothered by messes, but in the case of fabric...how can anybody not LOVE it. Really, I'm just a little jealous but I've only been collecting/quilting for less than 3 years. So many projects, so little time... ;-)

Tell Stephanie to mind her own business!!
That is YOUR happy place, and you deserve it. Don't give in!!
Unless it's a fall hazard

Just give yourself 10 minutes every day to put away some pieces of fabric. That is therapy too. You might find that you want to spend 15 minutes or 20 because it is fun too. I love taking a messy pile of fabric and straightening it up in reverse order (top piece becomes the bottom of the new pile) because I always find a couple pieces to save out and put on the top where I see them.

Ahhh, the joy of fabric! Luxuriate without guilt ~ ~ that is my advice for the day. There are enough things left to be guilty about ~ ~ if you have to feel guilt at all!!!

Think of it as an adventure ~ ~ or treasure hunt :) Have some real fun.

You are not alone! My quilt studio looks very similar. It is a struggle to keep things down to a dull roar. Which doesn't actually happen too often!

Tell Stephanie to butt out. It's your stash and if it makes you happy, there is no problem! The best part of putting some fabric away is petting the pretty fabrics, and then finding some lovelies that you had forgotten about!

Wanda has come up with a brilliant suggestion, in fact this is something I shall do! You'll get there eventually , you'll have to clear some room for the kids fabric stashes!
