The Visits that save our days...a no quilting post

The boys came back tonight...now it is an every Monday night thing.
See, here is Mr.O'Quilts awake enough to practice speaking with his Dynovox speaking machine..
Evan asked to have a visit with his father alone without his siblings.
Here we are this afternoon at McDonald's play place.
His dad brought him his favorite thing...Legos.
They had an hour or so of fun making it together.
People struggle to understand the concept of the visitation belonging to the child and not the parent.
Children own visitation. They have a right to regular supervised visitation with their parents..
I am exhausted.
I am just putting this out there without quilting so my dear man's relatives can see that My dear man has swung back around from sleeping away his weekend.
He is still alive, I am still alive and hopefully we will all sleep peacefully this night.

  1. Love, life, and living come in so many forms. Your days are so full and so filled up by all of the nuances and complexities. But that is the goodness in the challenges. Your son is so beautiful and so deeply complicated but he asked for his time alone and said and did as he could. We want more for our lives and our loved ones but you have more than enough in so many ways. You are so loved, Diane. Never forget that. Love just comes in so many ways and do many forms and it is all a dream within a dream, dear heart. Dear, dear trying so hard heart.

  4. Oh, Diane, how much I look forward and enjoy our visits together ~ ~ your words of honesty and reality, the many tidbits of wisdom that spill out around the edges of your every-days, and the magnificent love and counsel shared by your friends. I feel so blessed to be getting to know you. And after all, our quilts are made from the deepest places of our hearts, so each quilt you build, create, develop, and complete manifests this wisdom and love and honesty. Perhaps that's the real reason our families and friends treasure them so much. Thank you for being you ~ ~ and sharing your precious family ~ ~ in all of their own realities. hugs, dear one.

  6. Just want you to know I read your post to me. You are such a dear person. With all that's on your shoulders you still made time to think of me. I have so many unfinished projects that are promised I'm trying to finish those up but thanks for the offer. Mr. looks like he is enjoying his visit!
