Bye Bye.......

And...here is the song..
This picture was taken at about 4 months.  We adopted Emily at 3 and a half months.
The best decision of my life...after marrying my love, that is.
A Cradle Song
The angels are stooping
Above your bed;
They weary of trooping
With the wimpering dead.

God's laughing in heaven
To see you so good;
The Shining Seven
Are gay with his mood.

I kiss you and kiss you,
My pigeon, my own;
Ah, how I shall miss you
When you have grown.
__W.B. Yeats

She is gone.
Off to Ireland to resume her job.
She made a lovely dinner last night
Lots of laughs.
Today a great Mexican lunch.
New generation. On the way to lunch, her man was in the back seat with earphones in, on a conference call for work.  My girl was on her I-phone watching the tennis match and I was driving.
New world.

Kids are with their cousins...TBTG.. I am afraid that without a full respite on weekends that I will get sick.
And That will not be good for anyone.
I was 32 years old once..It was awesome.
Now it is old  me and my three wonderful grands and Fabric.com..just used the last of Cousin Ann's gift certificate.
And, of course all the dogs and cats...etc
Life is still good, in fact, life is still very good..

  1. Your sweet, good girl -- not gone, just elsewhere. You are in her heart as she is in yours.
    Such a sweet photo. Are those the cats that stand near your design wall?
    Take care.

  2. A child of your heart is never gone ~ ~ it just looks that way on the outside. I imagine the two of you will always be close in spirit wherever your beings may wander :):) I always tell myself I raised them to go out and conquer the world. But miss them terribly when they do just that!! Aren't we mothers funny creatures? Enjoy your weekend. I used to need them when I was younger, so I can only imagine how much you must need them at this time in your life. Sew and sew and sew ~ ~ it will heal your heart one stitch at a time!
