Today was the sad day. My sister and the three children took Zoe for her final vet visit.
Our Zoe was a great part of our family.
Zoe sewed....like all the O'Quilts do.
She visited my mother at her assisted living. Everyone loved our girl.
This morning before they left....saying goodbye to Zoe.
The Rainbow Bridge for old dogs with lots of love left inside. Zoe, we love you and miss you so.
The children made pillows tonight to sleep with. Thank God, we have such a brilliant collection of fabric. Here they are with their lackluster smiles, on the way to bed to cuddle with the pillows they just made of Zoe riding in a truck.
We are praying that tomorrow will be a bit better.
A big thank you to all of you who commented yesterday with your encouragement.
it's like learning to walk around the hole left in our lives, it never totally goes away, we just learn how to pass by and not fall in. thinking of you
ReplyDeleteTough time. Losing a long standing pet in like a hole. I have my favorite pet ever, Cinders the cat, pawprint in clay (made by the vet) hanging in my family room as I still miss her, years later. Isn't it terrific that animals can form a relationship with us that is a special love?
ReplyDeleteLoving thoughts flowing your way.It was a difficult decision for us to have our almost 15 year old Shih Poo put down in late 2018. As empty nesters there was such a hole in our lives. I caved last August and got a puppy, a poodle mix, who recently turned a year old. He doesn't replace her, but the heart finds room to include more love. I am so glad that your grandchildren are there to comfort and to be comforted by good memories. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your family's loss.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this. Virtual hugs and love to the whole family.
