Who would have known seven pet chickens would make dear Rosie, the dog jealous.
Our Aoife is quite the picture ham....
Now...five days until Monday ....Cinco de Mayo....my mother's birthday AND my new hip operation.
I am nervous, but anticipating the eventual relief of this awful hip pain and maybe being able to lift my leg up into a car or into my bed without pain... I am surrounded by love and encouragement.
PS: OMG Now there is a chicken in a quilt..

Chicken love is great fun. We would sit in chairs and just watch them! Being able to hold them is very dear and not easy unless you do what your family is doing. Lots of love; holding and letting them eat out of your hands. It's lovely way to teach children about our innate connection to others besides humans! Gorgeous feedsack fabric and best wishes for a successful surgery. It's a miracle of modern medicine .. .one hip at a time. Theyll ask a lot of you right off. Just do your best and you'll be on the road to recovery in no time! Hugs hugs!
