Today is the day I took Dylan to his rising kindergarten open house.
Today is the day I got really annoyed...ok..angry..that my love could not see his spring roses bloom
Today is the day I made myself go to the Charlotte Modern Quilt Guild meeting.
I had a great time and met two new bogging friends face to face..and more kindred souls I have loved forever. I received and gave a million hugs.
Today is the day I am going to bed early.
When I got home from the Quilt Guild meeting...voila...
Ms. Stephanie and Ms Lynsey had totally cleaned up my sewing room.
Today is really...the day!!
I know where nothing is..but I do not care...
Soooo grateful...to see two clean work surfaces so I can sew tomorrow.
How grateful am I...!!
So very grateful....
Two weeks a widow.

I am glad you enjoyed the guild. I am sure you spoke to "your love" all the time.
Glad you were able to get out a bit!!! Take care of you :)
You gave the grief support group a go, and if you didn't like it that is fine. You got to do what suits you at the moment. The sewing room looks great. x
Your guild sounds like a great support group, all those quilters with big hearts. How lovely to have a clean sewing room to sew in tomorrow.
Yes, I'm sorry the bereavement group wasn't what you wanted. And yes, maybe being with your quilting tribe is a better support.
And little elves -- or angels! -- at home tidying!
I think you are doing wonderfully well. Sounds like the Modern Quilt Guild is great in every way. Every good day is a REALLY good day.

I was soooo glad to see you at the guild meeting! A treat to sit next to you, dearheart. And for you to return to a cleaned up sewing room. That was a gift. Now, I just hope you can figure out where everything is ... and find those quilt squares! Love you.
Shoot!!! So sorry I missed you last night. I was on "soccer practice duty". Hope to see you soon and I'm so glad your room is ready for you to create.
Your quilting group sounds fun. Enjoy your tidy room and your sewing.
Hugs
Grieve the way you are comfortable. There is no right or wrong way. I chose not to do a support group. However the grief counselors from Hospice checked in with me once a month for a year. If I needed to have a one on one session, they were supportive. I can still call them if I feel the need. So glad you had a nice time with your Quilt Guild.
I think of you often....
