The other day, stress drove me to this bag:
It was full of addictive substance.......strips of fabric.
It was full of addictive substance.......strips of fabric.
Naturally it had been organized by Kristen, the babysitter..
.(miss you Kristen) I could never be this organized...
Anyway, I just started pulling 2.5 inch strips and sewing them together..
.sigh...let the relaxation begin.
I ended up here...with random four patches..to save for a rainy, industrious day.
But, I could not let it be...you know how it goes...
Last night I did this.
Now, I was really having a good time and I remembered the Lori Holt pattern that was way too easy..
I made these cuties...from 4.5 inch squares and some more of the 2.5 inch squares for the corners.
Did I stop....oh, no I did not....
Just now, I did this....:)
Quilting is my meditation!!!!

That block is the beginning of a wonderful scrappyluscious quilt!
There is such good medicine in the sewing together bits of fabric. Enough thinking for their assembly, a bit of creative pairing, but, mostly, just sewing. It is such very good medicine.
Awww, and the feel of the textures in your fingers and the shades and hues bumping and weaving next to each other. Fabric. The ultimate addiction.
Have another wonderful day, Diane. and the rest of us as well!!
Love this! Oh, to find respite whenever we can!
