Morning...

My two sided bibs.  You get to see every angle of them....  Just because....100% cotton, lined with washed flannel and secured with Velcro.  Baby spills, flip it over and it is pretty on the other side.  Going to put them away for the occasions to arise.  I hate to work under pressure.

 There was a blogger once who pontificated on how ridiculous it was to photograph quilts in trees, etc.  She just wanted to see quilts.  Well, I do think it is fun to try to do different poses ..but, the one below reminded me of her.  I mean, what kind of fool puts bibs with clothespins in bushes????   

I think I am in the mood.  I finished my bibs at least.  And, I am probably pissy because I did my 5 minute drive to the Arboretum this morning.  I was sick of Michaels, so down the row was Bed, Bath and Beyond.  I went in and bought frying pans. While I was in line I got symptoms..Trying not to be discouraged here.  Today ends month three and begins month 4.  Hello month four...TBTG I love woodpeckers and my sewing machine...

Betty, friends got those panels in Sew Much Fun, Gastonia, NC.  I googled Halloween fabric panels for you...I did not find these, but good heavens there are trillions out there.

Baby shower presents

I am no longer young..guess I have not yet learned the lesson...It is 12:30 at night and I have procrastinated about the baby presents for the upcoming shower.  Excuses of course...a stomach virus and a broken foot pedal..but really those are just excuses..  Just finished now are three reversible bibs...made from Emily's pattern...a perfect bib pattern..attached with velcro.

 Then from Fairy Face Designs, I made some washcloths..

Using this pacifier clip tutorial, I made these...two sided ones..

Maybe tomorrow I can do a changing pad or else maybe not..

Adult bibs for my mother.

Stage 4 Parkinson's disease is not nice.  My mother has been very lucky that her tremor and weakness so far has been on her left side.  With disease progression, it is now on her right side too.  This interferes with her writing and with her eating.  So she spills, she spills a lot...not all the time but with the "stop and go" of Parkinson's, she spills enough that I made her bibs.  Fun bibs...cause even at 90, a girl just wants to have fun!

 They are two sided.  I googled "adult bib patterns" and found the basic one here.  I then rounded it out for a size that was good...

Bibs and budding quilters

This is the last of the recent unfinished tops. I thought that my grandchildren would have the answer for me so I could get it done and start something new...but they wanted to do their own thing as it should be.

I hope that a few "modern" bibs for the occasion doesn't count as starting something new.  The children were asleep and I wanted to sew a bit before bed....reversible bibs..a strip wonder-undered on pre-made bibs.and re-enforced with a blanket stitch. 

Bibs and girls

I have been making bibs for 28 years...so that means that my eldest child is 28.  I used to make them by hand, but now that is over.  When Emily came home for a visit she drafted this easy easy bib pattern.  With a slit on the side, and lined with flannel, it is a 15 minute bib.  It is two sided and closed with velcro.

Transformers are very popular with my almost 6 year old grandson so I decided to go to Walmart and ask for a pink transformer for his sister. I was informed that they didnt make transformers for girls.  Dear Lord in heaven, this is 2011.  I was disgusted.  So, I am happy to make these bibs with a girl soccer team and with Superwoman!
