Moxieburt and Me

Surviving the third night alone with my hip, my Tramadol, my cane and my vino.
My friend, Kara...says that pain is a thief..stealing hope and perspective and more.
Thank you Kara, for understanding.
Here is the field where my man's spirit is..the morning dew., the afternoon rain..
I love it, outside my sewing room window.'
Nancy texted to say that she was on the way to Goodwill with baskets.
I said...do not bother...I love clutter:)
Pay attention friends, You might get one for Christmas..lol
Friendship is books coming just in the nick of time.
Muggs and Katie have saved me..over and over again.
Out of the blue, I miss my mother.
All things happened at once at my house..
No break for the weary.
It would be lovely now to have a glass of wine
and a lovely chat with my dear ol' ma.age .93..

OMG  This picture is from 2012...18  months before she died...How in the world did I think  her age did  not show???  Talk about how a person's spirit transcends their looks..
And, of course denial..
My mother loved dogs.....Zoe came to visit.
I am a fabric show off...Always  have been..
Above and below...a little cheery visit to Equilter is equal to a Tramadol or two.
Checking out some stash for the holiday makings..

Peter said I had moxie.  That was a wonderful compliment.
Like mother, like daughter.
My mother's email address was Moxieburt!

Just Sayin' .... Grandma O'Quilts tries harder.

Just back from the grocery store where I bought Evan his new Oreos.
Now, he will never know..unless I eat all these too..Jeeze Louize
The store was hard for me...all families bustling about for holiday fixings.
My friends are mostly gone for fun times elsewhere...
My family...well, they are mostly just plain gone.
Fine...I will open the Oreos...the store is open again tomorrow..
It is 4 pm and I have made no progress at all.
I am setting the timer for 30 min and will report back to myself.
Above,  duct tape over Evan's Oreos...or what is left...
Clear...almost...Stitch????
If you come to visit...at least you can sit down now..for now...Yeah!!
Thank you Wanda for the timer idea:)
Never being one to like suffering...I treated myself on Amazon Prime.
The Modern Triangle one is for Charlotte Modern Quilt Guild ideas.
The Patchwork City I read in the library while waiting for the children to finish tutoring.
I loved it...so I splurged.
After my meeting tonight, I will set another 30 min on the timer...wow.
So need ideas on my over flowing scrap baskets...
I adore my scraps...

Contraband from Texas!!

Just when I feel totally overwhelmed, I am once again lifted up.
Nothing like a friend who understands from the bottom of her heart, life's real priorities.

 And, My kind of packing!!:)
The books for the children hid the great stuff...
Good thing that the sniffing dogs were on holiday break.
Just so you know how things are here in Charlotte.....Today's update is tremendous
ALS fatigue and a sleeping all day,  kind of day.
Thank you Laurel...You have put a smile on the Muldoon rooftop!!!!

He is Home!!!!

No pictures of him home.  Just smiles and hugs and relief.
He is still very sick and weak, but he is home.
Short post cuz we are all exhausted.
He is home on tube feeding only, nothing by mouth. He is home with medication 7 times a day crushed into his feeding tube.  He is home on oxygen.  He is bed bound.
We love him home.
We are trying to move the bird feeders to a place where he can watch them.  We are interviewing help well recommended by dearest..(ava)
A big thanks to Laurel for sending the children books.
