One More Milestone

Today ends a very successful weekend by myself.
The mornings must start out with a potholder or two
 And, then a card...
No matter what...the scrap bucket is still fuller than full!!!
A pillowcase...
 And, a repair...I am Woman...
For forever this lock to the screened in porch has been broken..
Letting in the racoons to the dog food..
With my trusty sewing room tools, I simply moved the lock up...smarty pants.
I even cleaned off my ironing table...that took all day.
Last night a widow group event...Thanks be to our group leader, Terrie.
Tonight the grands back from a wonderful time at the cousins' house.
All said that they were so glad to be home...Terrific news.
Thanks to  Michele and her chickens..
today concluded.the first alone successful weekend ever since my love died
Mark this, the end of month 11,
Truly a milestone for which I am grateful.

It sounds as though everyone had a good weekend. Why is it the little annoying jobs are the last to be done? I need a bolt on the bottom of the shed door. (I have bought one, it's sitting on the stairs)

It's wonderful to hear of your successful weekend. Isn't it funny how the scrap bin always seems full no matter how much we sew with it.

I celebrate your good days. This one seems to have been not just from the loving support of your friends & family, but came from inside as well.
I recently went to the funeral of a coworker. The grief if the family was so raw & new, it was hard to witness. Being human is living with loss. It has been 13 years since my Dad died, almost 3 for Mom. Neither is like the loss of a partner, but hurts too. The pain doesn't ever really go away. It eases, but a proper poke will make it ache all over again. We learn to live with it, learn to shoulder the loss & move forward.
You are stronger than you think.
Sending hugs.
